The people involved and/or interested in the European Neurofibromatosis Group (ENFG) had a meeting at the global NF conference in Brussels at the 23rd of June 2024. Around 50 people attended this meeting under the chairmanship of Rianne Oostenbrink.
Brainstorming took place about the future of the ENFG and what the ENFG can mean for patients and science in the field of neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis. Many new ideas were shared, including professionalizing the ENFG organization and cooperation with partners. For example, there was discussion about taking further steps towards setting up a European registry for neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis patients.
It was an inspiring meeting and many ideas are now being further developed and put into practice. This website is an example of that. Therefore, add the ENFG website to your favorites and stay informed of new meetings and how new ideas and initiatives are further developed.
Furthermore a kick off meeting for European nurses was arranged by Sarah van Dijk. Around 15 nurses from around the globe attended this meeting. The fist step was made to unite and achieve more together for the NF community in the nursing field.
